Verbal Basics: Strategies for sentence completion, analogies and antonyms will be covered along with vocabulary building.

Class 3 Pepper Canyon 109 Tuesday, July 2

Verbal Lab (optional for students with a verbal score of 700+ on the test): Students will practice problem sets from the verbal section on the computer and have the opportunity to works with the instructor to reinforce test-taking strategies.

Quantitative Reasoning Basics: Strategies for optimum performance on the quantitative section will be covered, including techniques for managing quantitative comparison and problem solving.

Critical Thinking and Analytical Writing – Part 1: Introduction to effective essay writing under timed conditions. Breakdown of the analysis of an issue and analysis of an argument format employed by the GRE.

Critical Thinking and Analytical Writing – Part 1: Introduction to effective essay writing under timed conditions. Breakdown of the analysis of an issue and analysis of an argument format employed by the GRE.

Reading Comprehension and Data Analysis: Strategies for improving performance on reading comprehension and data analysis will be addressed in the computer lab since these are the sections that differ most from paper to computer testing.

Critical Thinking & Analytical Writing – Part 2: Examination of student writing samples and review of essay writing techniques.

Post-Test (mandatory for all students): Students will take the GRE post-test.
