Shuttles

Free shuttles for faculty, staff, and students serve the UC San Diego campus, medical centers, and key points off campus.  Unless otherwise noted, shuttles run weekdays year-round, except university holidays, and service may be reduced or suspended during academic breaks.

Live tracking for shuttles is available.

Commute Solutions

Commute Solutions helps faculty, staff, and students find alternatives to solo driving that save money, time, and hassle.  Options include carpools, car sharing (Zipcar), pedal club, ride-matching (Zimride), transit/coaster club, and vanpools.

Public Transit

Buses in the UCSD Bus Zone stop on campus or near Hillcrest Medical Center. Staff, faculty, and students with a free UCSD Bus Zone sticker on their current, valid UC San Diego photo ID card ride free for unlimited stops on these bus routes only.

Stickers are available at the campus parking office or Hillcrest parking office. The current blue 2011/2012 bus sticker will remain valid until further notice.

The university is charged for each ride in the UCSD Bus Zone. Transit pass holders should use their passes instead of their campus ID to board.
