Diversity Outreach Collaboration
The Diversity Outreach Collaboration is an effort between UC San Diego faculty, staff, post docs, and graduate students to create a more comprehensive diversity outreach strategy. Efforts include:
- Participation in undergraduate research conferences with an emphasis in underrepresented/underpriveleged participation, such as:
- SACNAS
- ABRCMS
- McNair Research Symposiums
- SHPE
- NSBE
- HBCU-UP
- AISES
- California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education
- Integration of UC San Diego Faculty into California State University department colloquia
- Creating and maintaining pipelines between graduate preparation programs and UC San Diego departments
- Recruitment of an academically strong and diverse undergraduate and masters students to summer research programs at UC San Diego
