About San Diego

The STARS program is an intensive 8-week academy modeled on graduate school life. It includes 6-8+ hours of lab research per day, a weekly student development workshop, a GRE (Graduate Records Exam) course 2 mornings a week (weeks 1-5) and optional social activities.

In addition to a faculty mentor and a lab supervisor, each participant will be assigned a graduate student advocate/mentor. To complete the program, participants must turn in a research paper and make a 15-minute Power Point research presentation at the Summer Research Symposium.

Information will be added/changed to the following schedule of activities as it becomes available.
