Please refer to your online application. The department will specify whether to submit electronic or hard copy forms. Please note most departments only accept electronic copies of transcripts.
For Application Review purposes: Scanned and uploaded copies of transcripts are acceptable by some departments. In the online application you will be prompted to upload a pdf of your scanned documents. Please upload both the front and back sides of the transcript, even if the back side is blank. One set of transcripts must be provided for each application submitted.
Upon provisional admission to graduate study at UC San Diego: Official hard copy transcripts from all institutions attended and from the institution where you obtained your undergraduate degree will be required to finalize your admission and must be submitted to the Graduate Admissions office.

Note: Transcripts and all other application materials will not be returned to applicants under any circumstances. Plan to order sufficient copies of your academic records to meet projected needs.
Applicants who attended any campus of the University of California, including UCSD, must provide official transcripts of the UC course work. Transcripts from UCSD may be ordered by an applicant from the Office of the Registrar. There is no charge for UCSD transcripts of record sent to departments in support of an application for graduate study at UCSD.
