Diversity Outreach Collaboration (DOC) is a collective effort to increase student diversity in UCSD’s graduate programs. The collaboration works with partner institutions across the country. The goal is to ensure that students from traditionally underrepresented groups are included in outreach efforts and are provided with equitable access to information regarding the application process for graduate study admissions.

The Collaboration provides personalized contact with diverse students who have high potential for graduate study. Faculty, staff, post-docs, and graduate students are effective recruiters and are encouraged to work with partner institutions to identify and recruit highly selectable applicants.

The Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) wants to expand the collaboration by including other colleges and universities as partners. We welcome your ideas and creative approaches. In addition to supporting UCSD’s commitment to diversify graduate education, this Collaboration will assist federal grant programs on campus to meet their commitments for minority student outreach.
