LIAISONS
Liaisons help to establish relationships between UCSD and graduate school preparation programs, academic departments at other campuses, or faculty members at partner institutions. As a liaison, you will have the flexibility of choosing the level of your commitment. For instance, you can be the liaison for one specific program at another campus (such as the McNair Program at San Diego State University) or you can choose to be a general liaison, willing to go to any campus/program on behalf of UCSD. PRESENTERS
A presenter is a UCSD faculty member, staff member, Post Doc, or graduate student who is interested in diversifying the graduate student application pool. Presenters participate in the Diversity Outreach Collaboration (DOC) by giving presentations/talks about: their research, their academic department, preparing for graduate school, or general graduate school information to diverse audiences of prospective students. These talks can be held at partner institutions, on the UCSD campus, at symposiums or at conferences throughout the state/country. (more)
PARTNERS
Partners are other campuses who have agreed to strongly encourage their students to consider attending UCSD. Partnerships are informal, with an overall goal of recruiting qualified underrepresented students into graduate school. Universities that have graduate school preparation programs such as MBRS, Bridges, MARC, and McNair create excellent opportunities for partnerships. These programs and the faculty who lead them provide ideal contact points for productive recruitment of graduate students. (more)
