General Requirements for All Participants

  • Annual contact (meeting, phone or e-mail with AGEP staff to discuss progress and future plans, continuous through graduation.
  • Participation in 3 campus workshops or activities of participant's choice each year, continuous through graduation. The AGEP coordinator will provide ongoing lists of potential activities.
  • Participation in AGEP follow-up tracking for five years after graduation.

Additional Requirements for Specific Programs

  • Competitive EDGE Summer Research Program
    1. Regular contact with AGEP staff during the summer program.
    2. Participation in bi-weekly workshops during the summer program.
    3. End of program evaluation.
    4. Participation in AGEP orientation at beginning of the first year
    5. Quarterly meetings for the first year with AGEP staff to discuss progress and future plans (unless participating in the Peer Networking Program). The spring meeting fulfills the annual meeting from the general requirements.
  • AGEP Fellowship
    1. Quarterly meetings for the first year with AGEP staff to discuss progress and future plans (unless participating in the Peer Networking Program). The Spring meeting fulfills the annual meeting from the general requirements.
    2. Participation in AGEP orientation at the beginning of the first year.
  • Graduate Housing Guarantee
    1. Quarterly meetings for the first year with AGEP staff to discuss progress and future plans (unless in Networking Program). The Spring meeting fulfills the annual meeting from the general requirements.
    2. Participation in AGEP orientation at beginning of the first year.
  • Conference Funding
    1. Write a report (2 pages) summarizing your participation in the event and evaluating the usefulness for your academic career.
    2. Sign up for the Diversity Outreach Collaboration Program.
    3. Participate in two diversity recruitment events in the 12 months following the conference.
  • Peer Networking Program
    1. Participate in 3 networking training sessions or workshops during the academic year
    2. Maintain monthly contact with mentee or mentor during the year.
    3. End of the year evaluation.
