Non-Resident Tuition for Students in Doctoral Candidacy

Effective Fall 1997 quarter, non-resident doctoral students who have advanced to candidacy will receive a 100% reduction in non-resident tuition for up to three consecutive years (nine quarters). Requests to extend the time for up to three quarters of approved leaves of absence must be made in writing to the Dean of Graduate Studies. There will be no further extensions or exceptions granted.

The fee amount will be assessed automatically; you do not need to advise us of your eligibility or status. Non-resident doctoral students will be eligible ONLY if they have advanced to candidacy (upon filing all paperwork with OGS) on or before the first day of instruction; otherwise, the nine quarters will begin the following quarter.
